Bridal Shows can be intimidating! You walk into a giant room filled with a ton of people, interactive booths, loud music, and did I mention a TON of people! Well, here are some tips to make your day run smoothly at bridal shows:
1.) Come Prepared!
You will speak to a bunch of different vendors throughout the day who will want your information so they can connect with you outside of the show. Instead of writing your name, phone number, and email 100 times, print up some stickers that have your information already on it. This will save you time and will make sure your information is always correct.
2.) Create a Separate Email For Your Wedding
You want the vendors to send you emails because most of the time they have ways to save you money in them. It can overload your regular email though and you end up deleting them. Create a separate email account specifically for your wedding and it will give you a place to compare all of the information you receive.
3.) Bring a Little Notebook
It is sometimes difficult to keep the different vendors separate in your mind after the show. Bring a little notebook and take notes of the vendors you connected with, who you want to research more, and who to stay away from. For an extra step you can tape their business cards to the top of the page and put the notes underneath it.
4.) Come Early, Stay Late
There are always free giveaways at bridal shows but they go fast. Make sure to get there early to snag the “good stuff” while it is still available. The big raffle giveaways are always at the end of the show so don’t leave too early. So grab a drink and hang out with your friends while you wait for the final parts of the show.
5.) Do Your Research
The shows normally have a list of the vendors that will be at the show. Spend a little time researching some of the companies before you go so you have a feel for who will be there. Pick 1 or 2 of each type of vendor you still need and seek them out.
6.) Be Ready to Make a Decision
Some companies offer insane discounts during bridal shows. Take advantage of them! If you really make a connection with a vendor consider booking with them that day. It’s one more thing that you can check off of your list and you will save a little dough!
7.) Make Sure You Stop By Complete weddings + events Booth
We always run HUGE bridal show specials and have fun little giveaways! It’s convenient to have all of your services booked with one vendor. We offer DJ, Photography, Videography, Photo Booth, and Up-lighting come on by and say hi!
8.) HAVE FUN!
Most importantly enjoy the day. Bring positive people with you, grab a drink, and eat lots of free cake samples! This day should be fun and exciting, not stressful. Everybody is there for you and wants to help make your Big Day special.
Good luck and happy wedding planning!
